Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)

From our research and experience we would expect about 75% of underperforming children in your school have Neuro Motor Immaturity.

This can be treated by a 12 month programme of neuro-physiological exercises, for 15 minutes every day.

Of those children doing the programme, we would anticipate that well over 60% would make a year or more progress in a core subject.

The group exercise programme – a day’s training followed by support.

We would suggest that three staff could deliver a daily 15 minute exercise programme for 12 months. From our own experience and that of other schools we have worked with it makes a real difference and impact on children’s learning.

The key is to select the right children and ensure that the daily exercise becomes a priority.

  • Training day for staff where they will understand the principles of Neuro Physiological Therapy, will have insights into how Neuro Motor Immaturity affects children and be given the 12 month group exercise pack.
  • Support for three staff to assess children and deliver the exercise programme (1day assessing and follow up support)

Individual exercise programme

There are many SEN children being supported daily, on specialist programmes who are making very little progress academically. Neurophysiological therapy is an answer for some of these. It opens a door and enables them to make better use of what the school is doing.
